Nicholas Charitsis, B.B.A., LL.B. Nicholas Charitsis is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree (with distinction) from the Schulich School of Business at York University, where he graduated in the top 5% of his class.
Since 2004, Mr. Charitsis has built an extensive practice as a criminal defence lawyer, appearing in thousands of matters across the Ontario criminal courts. His work has frequently been featured by major news outlets , and he is a sought-after guest speaker on multiple radio platforms, providing expert commentary on complex issues ranging from Impaired Driving and Sexual Assault to Domestic Assault litigation.

His foundational experience includes serving as an Assistant Crown Attorney for the Ministry of the Attorney General at the Old City Hall, College Park, 1000 Finch, and 311 Jarvis courthouses in Toronto. Over the course of his career, he has successfully defended thousands of contested trials involving Dangerous Driving, Failure to Provide Breath Sample, Sexual Interference, and Assault charges, consistently securing favourable resolutions and wins for his clients.
Deeply committed to the community, Nicholas Mr. Charitsis volunteers his time with the Caribbean Children’s Foundation, Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, and regularly participates in the Run for Southlake Regional Health Centre.
Professional Appointments
In recognition of his extensive experience and long-standing service to the legal community, the Attorney General of Ontario appointed Mr. Charitsis as the Chair of the Justices of the Peace Appointments Advisory Committee. In this capacity, he oversees the merit-based selection process for judicial officers within the province as Chairman.
